the drug/deli and what not store 144 Greenville City Hall 145 Towards the Glen Allen Cemetry - some of my G-pa/ma Sharp relatives are buried at the Baptist church cemetary 146 First Baptist Church of Glen Allen 147 The Sharp grave plots - they were not Baptist but Seventh Day Adventist - I don’t know were they went to church 148 My Great Grandpa Michael - I remember him at his funeral where he was in a totally open coffen propped up at the head on a saw horse 149 And my Great Grandma Clista - we called her “Little Grandma” She was around until I was 16 years old - It was hard for Josh to comprehend his great great great G-pa and G-ma 150 Great uncle Homer - He was blind all thedays I knew him from drinking bad alchohol during prohibition. Which he brewed and drank. Dad always said that Uncle Homer would give him a nickel for every reasonable sized bottle he could find. Oh well ,,,,, 151 Grandma Birdie Sharp and 152 Grandpa Edward Sharp a house builder and fiddle maker in his spare time. I have two of his fiddles plus the parts of the last one he was working on. G-ma played piano, G-pa on the fiddle, Dad on the mandolin, G-pa’s brother Herb was also a fiddle player and several locals did guitar. Talk about hoe-downs ,,, better than the Darlin’s on the Andy Griffith show 153 At the First Baptist Church Cemetary of Glen Allen, MO 154 G-pa sharp built the house he and G-ma lived in when they were on a small farm on Hwy 34 as well as the house his brother, Uncle Herb, lived in taking care of their motheer, “Little Grandma” Clista This one ws the first I knew of in Lutesvile or Marble Hill |
