fishing hole - for sure there were some big lunkers in there
There was a path through a lot of brush to get there and there was
a sandy little beach to sit on.  Auntie B caught a lot of fish there
On the way back from Aunt B’s favorite fishing spot and
looking at the house area from that angle - see the van in front
Going on down towards Bear Creek - to the left in the scene shown
would be the creek and the fiord crossing the creek
On the way out approaching the branch crossing and
crossing the branch - photo looking down the branch
To the right is G-pa/ma’s field again just after crossing the branch
The steep hill in front os Quez’s barn going out - G-pa’s horse had to  really strain to pull the wagon up that hill as well as other hills  G-pa’s  original mules were Kit and Nig(ger)  Nig died and Aunt Jean and Uncle (Louis? ed.) got the mare Peg to replace Nig.  Peg was a trained logging horse and had only to cut one log pulling trail which she would follow automatically, without attendance, on repeated pulls. I remember G-pa had agreed to let her pull for one of the loggers one day. On one of the pulls she pulled the log over a yellow jacket entrance.  I saw he get  stung to the point she broke the single tree to the log and ran away.    G-pa  got her back and I counted over 50 sting places on her.
The Faulkner spring - stop there for a cool on on the way to town
