SAC 's biggest Bomber the B36

It was awesome to see this airplane flying. It was even more awesome to be flying on it. I was ECM - there were four of us. The bubbles you see upper and lower aft and upper forward were gunners - six in these positions plus a tail and nose gunner. We had an AC Commander (Capt McClellan), first and second pilots, a bombardier, two radio operators, two navigators. and two flight engineers. How many is that now? 20? That's about right - it took a big crew to keep a big airplane like the Rb36H in the air for as long as 27-36 hours (usually only 18 to 24).
